GigBridge MVP – Latency and Response Times…

With GigBridge currently released as a MVP (minimum viable product), its important for users to recognised that the site operates with ‘Near-Time’ responsiveness, as opposed to ‘Real-Time’ responsiveness.

This means users can expect to experience situations where processes, status indicators & notification alerts don’t take place in real-time.

A simple refresh of your web browser will ensure you’re profile has loaded and is displaying the most up-to-date information.

How will Ozstream introduce real-time responsiveness to GigBridge?

During our Soft-Launch (Oct-Dec 2024) and Pilot-Launch (Feb-May 2025) phases, Ozstream will be analysing how our users interact with GigBridge.

These phases will help us understand key factors such as how many opportunities are being created, how many users are logged on at any one time, as well as how often users are searching for information. Being able to identify this information is crucial in helping us figure out the server and hosting capacity needed to ensure GigBridge runs smoothly and responds in real-time.

We’re also looking at how these demands will evolve as we grow, so we can plan for future expansion.Because of this, GigBridge will be closed to new users from June to August 2025. This pause will give us time to carefully analyse the data and ensure our systems are prepared to handle increased demand, keeping everything stable as we move forward.
