What happens if a Direct Booking needs to be cancelled?
Updated12 October 2024
Views3
If a Direct Booking needs to be cancelled, it can only be done once the booking has been confirmed by both the performer and the venue.
Both parties can cancel a confirmed booking through their profile dashboard. Here’s what to do:
- How to Cancel a Booking:
- As a performer, once the booking is confirmed, you can cancel it through your dashboard by selecting the opportunity and following the cancellation process.
- As a venue, you can also cancel a confirmed booking by navigating to the opportunity in your dashboard and initiating the cancellation.
- Be Courteous:
While cancelling through the dashboard is straightforward, it’s always courteous to notify the other party with a phone call. This shows professionalism and helps ensure positive relations for any future bookings. - Why a Phone Call Matters:
A quick phone call to the other party is not just respectful—it also helps maintain a good working relationship. You want to keep them onside for any future bookings, and a personal touch goes a long way. - Next Steps After Cancellation:
Once the booking is cancelled, it will be reflected in both parties’ dashboards, and any relevant updates will be sent to both sides.
